Mustang is a well known line up model from Ford. The model is so special that Ford even let it has its own emblem with no Ford name on it. The heritage can be traced back in April 1964 where the first model was introduced to the public. Mustang was named as a credit to WWII P-51 Mustang fighter plane and it was proposed by John Najjar.
In 1965, Mustang have made a historic event where they have successfully bring up a Mustang convertible to the top of the Empire State Building. Empire State Building is the top building of the state at that time and the team have successfully locate the car at 86th floor.
To celebrate their 50th anniversary, Ford have re-create the event by taking up the new 2015 Mustang convertible to the top of the Empire State Building. Although the current record is not holding the World’s Tallest Building record anymore, it had created a nostalgic moment for all the American and Mustang’s fans. But Ford does not stop there. Their team want the Mustang to have a great adventure on its 50th anniversary. With a great cooperation Dubai authority, they have successfully bring the new Mustang to 112th floor in 6 pieces of chunk. The car need to be chopped and the engineer have done a great job since in a glance, the car looks perfect.
It take the team a whole night to assemble it back to one piece and the final pieces was completed by the Ford’s Executive Chairman, Bill Ford. Other than sharing their 50th anniversary, the event also taking place to celebrate their expansion in Middle East and Africa which the headquarter is located in Dubai. The Mustang will arrived in Middle East by 2016.
